Santa Ana (VanHoaNBLV) - Chương Trình Văn-Hóa Nhân-Bản Lạc-Viêt ghi lại một số hình ảnh vể buổi Lễ Kỷ Niệm 10 Năm Thuyết Pháp Trên Truyền Hình, Truyền Thanh và 54 Năm Xuất Gia Tu Học của Hòa Thượng Thích Minh Nguyện được tổ chức vào ngày 28 tháng 7 năm 2013 tại Chùa Trúc Lâm Yên Tử, 1924 West Second Street, thuộc Thành phố Santa Ana, Orange County, Miền Nam California, Hoa Kỳ.

Chùa Trúc Lâm Yên Tử là ngôi chùa đầu tiên của Cộng Đồng Người Việt Tỵ Nạn Cộng Sản được thành lập vào năm 1978 tại Thành phố Santa Ana. Hòa Thượng Thích Minh Nguyện hiện là Viện Chủ Chùa, đồng thời cũng là Thành Viên của Hội Đồng Liên Tôn VN Tại Hoa Kỳ  

The Birthplace of the Vietnamese Community in Orange County (*)

The City of Santa Ana will hold a press conference to commemorate Santa Ana as the birthplace of the Vietnamese community in Orange County. The press conference is scheduled for Saturday, April 28, 11:00 a.m. at the Truc Lam Yen Tu temple is the first Vietnamese Buddhist temple built outside of Vietnam after the end of the Vietnam War.

According to the Little Saigon Business District, the first Vietnamese business in Orange County started on First Street in Santa Ana in 1976. In 1977 Little Saigon also started in Santa Ana with a few stores and it has now grown into an area of nine square miles reaching the cities of Westminster, Garden Grove and Fountain Valley. Little Saigon is home to the largest Vietnamese community in the United States and it is a cultural and commercial capital for nearly 300,000 Vietnamese people outside of Vietnam.
